You mean the pedals sprouting from the floor, the center "spine" chassis, the torsion bar suspension, the engine/trans mounting provision and so forth? The early 911s were esentially rebodied Bugs (ala Karmahn Ghia or how ever it's spelled) with hot rodded engines.
