you can call up adirondack, or i'm sure potterman, and tell them you want city light bulbs. they know what they are. also, i think the bulbs might just be the normal side marker/liscense plate bulb size...you just have to find the right wattage. > I've seen guys with colored city light bulbs...what does everyone > think of this? What colors look best w/a dark colored car? had blue ones way back when, glad i got rid of them. too ricey. besides, it completely defeats the purpose of ciy lights. if you plan on actually using your city lights, get nothing but clear (or white, whatever you like to call it). i personally think they look the best anyway. the C has clear ones. :-) > Question 2-- How do I wire in the city lights? I'm assuming I want to > tap into the parking lights. There are two male spade connectors on the > back of the bulb holder. One for power, one for ground? yes, thats one for power one for ground. you can wire them in series too, to save on a little bit of wiring. on my 87, i had a seprate switch (it was the stock foglight type switch) just for the city lights...that got annoying though, and i dont reccomend it...left them on too many times. on my 92, i wired in a relay on my parking light circut to activate the city lights. i tried tapping right into the parking light circut (actually from the sidemarkers, i think) but the city lights (and then also the side markers) didnt get enough power. like a flashlight with really wak batteries... the relay got wired similarly to the relay for a main headlight. ben _____________ List Sponsor: http://www.netsville.com To remove yourself from this list, send mail to [email protected] with 'unsubscribe a2_16v' in the body of your message See us on the web at http://www.a2-16v.com Visit the 16V Homepage at http://www.gti16v.org
