- I'm offended. E-brake... never.

- My setup, which is in NO way a "race" setup is: neuspeed lowering springs,
boge turbogas struts up front, KONI adjustable shocks (set +1/4 turn) in
rear, a triangulated rear tie bar, and 195-50-15 kuhmo tires. 70% tread up
front, 30% tread in back.

<<and under no circumstances in any of those setups would I say that I've been

able to "easily" get the tail to come out. It either involves going in way

hot and letting off the gas, left foot braking, or pulling the e-brake.>>

- I guess "easily" is a relative term. I can get the tail on my car to
rotate controllably anytime I'm going through a turn at 80% or harder, by
simply letting off the gas a bit.
To me, for a front wheel drive car, that's "easy".
Now, if I turned the rear Konis to full stiff setting, the back end will come
around even more easily.

Having Konis in the rear and Boge turbogas shocks in the front is what I
think makes my car pretty well balanced.

Also, I took my friend's '87 GTI 16V to Willow springs a while back, and the
handling was very neutral. It has H&R sport springs, Bilstein HD shocks, and
neuspeed 25/28 bars (rear bar on middle setting). Nothing special, just your
standard suspension setup, and the tail came out pretty damn easily. I was
on Dunlop SP8000's which were toasted by the end of the day.
