<< The revs have nothing to do with it.  Esp since once
you pass 6500 rpm or so, you're on the downslope of
the hp and torque curves.  The clutch has already
bitten and held, whether you're at 4000 rpm or 8000
rpm...

My G60 had a hard rev limiter at 6800rpm... >>

- All I know is that my 8V cars never had clutch problems, and I drove MUCH 
HARDER than I do now.  Back then, we had a dragstrip nearby, which I used to 
go to a lot.
Once again, contrary to what most of you must think, in my day to day 
driving, I NEVER EVER drop the clutch.
Also, two of my 16V's clutches have broken during a 7000+rpm shift.
When it broke last week, I was at the track experimenting with shift points 
and launching techniques, to see what works best with the kent cams I just 
put in.
