If you want quiet, I don't think a TT is the answer. I got an aluminized cat-back one, and it is too loud for me, even after adding the 2nd mid-muffler and a longer regular muffler. Actually, I like the sound when I romp on it, but the drone at highway speeds gets old. I wear earplugs on long highway trips. It seems loudest at 4k rpm. It's actually quieter to go 90 than 70mph. "Sorry, officer, I was trying to protect my hearing." Plus, I have never gotten the fitment right, even after taking it to a local muffler shop and having them try to adjust it. It still rubs, and one of the rear hangers pops off all the time. I think I'm going to have to take it to a better muffler shop and just bite the bullet and get them to give me something new from the cat back. Grrr. Laters, Brian -- 1989 GLI Wolfsburg Ed.
