Folks,
You have to remember that an aftermarket "performance"
exhaust system is supposed to deliver the goods. The primary reason
they do that is because care is taken when building the system and
using fully mandrel bent pipe and quality free flowing mufflers.
I've had a few Leistritz systems way back a number of years ago and,
yes, they sounded just fine but didn't deliver. Every time the pipe
constricts when it turns a corner means that the exhaust flow is
slowed down and that doesn't help power. In my opinion, if you are
going to use a Leistritz, you might as well stick with a VAG standard
system, the power gain isn't worth the money spent on it.....Jack
I use the Leistritz on my '91 GLi and love it. i use it as my daily driver
(30 miles on the highway one way) and you don't notice the noise very much.
Nice tone, but not over bearing.
