At one point in time, I considered a VR6 conversion in my A2. I started
collecting the SLC components and then came across an excellent 2.0l 16V
donor. Since the VR6 conversions are now commonplace, I decided to create
another lightweight 16V out of my '85 Golf shell.

But one of my friends was looking at all of the Corrado SLC parts in my
garage and mentioned that the front subframe from the SLC can still be used
in my 16V conversion and will allow the use of the more stout VR6 front
motor mount.

That thought had never occurred to me. Anyone else tried this?
