As far as I know, our 16Vs here in North America never used the Digifant engine management. Ive seen pictures of it in some of my UK based magazines.
On my Corrado I use the Bahn Brenner fuel rail and I think its well made and a good replacement for the plastic OEM rails. BBM also makes a 16V counterpart for the Digifant equipped cars.
