I have no idea what the guy at the alignment shop did when he failed to
adjust the camber. After I loosened the 2 bolts on the strut I was able to
move the camber a huge amount in the correct direction. What a waste of
time taking my car there this week. I even asked the guy while I was under
the car with him if he loosened those two bolts to attempt to adjust the
camber. He said, "yes." I nearly asked him to prove it to me while I was
there watching but I didn't do so. I wish I could just use their alignment
rack instead of having to verify the before/after specs to see if they did
the job correctly. I must be one of the very few that ask for a
before/after printouts. Guess thats what I get for getting a lifetime
alignment at tires plus. They sure are going to get a lifetime of
alignments from my old jetta!
