fwiw, I use Unity (in precise). It's miles ahead of where it was a year ago, it is now at a quality level that would be decent for a first release. It also seems to be the best of the bunch... I don't have a particular grudge against it, I just didn't want to be frog marched into being ubuntu QA, because that sucker crashed hard literally all the time, had massive regressions, and wasn't even alpha quality.
