I was on Ubuntu since 08.10 having permanently left Windows and kept
with Gnome through the Unity transition. About a month and a half ago
I called it quits with Unity due to massive loss of productivity and
installed KDE which I used to dislike by comparison to gnome but since
having tweaked things a little have gotten it ar more usable than any
other DE I've ever used. Almost all of course is fairly basic, plus
some hot-keys, etc I learned how to make. It is a little bulky but I
like having a certain foundation of tolls to work with. Still
WIMP-based until something really special comes along or it all falls
to the wayside...
