Vidéotron 120mbps (no bandwith limit, 20mbps up), 10$ more than ebox but I've my cell too so I've a discount. All good, speed is often 135mbps. Never had issue in 3 years with Vidéotron, just chat support is sooooo stupid (like they can't help at all and they are definitively not friendly).
I've my own dlink router behind the cable modem, with gb rj45 to get the best speed. So use the OS you want it's not a problem. About IPv6 I don't mind, cause it's a non bloquant feature actually. Many companies add it, but thinks it's not the good time to invest on it, so sometime the connection is less secure than with IPv4 (like no DDoS protection, etc). But I can understand that you want it, it's related to my needs. With Bell 3 years ago, had so mutch billing issues with them (they do shit with your bill, check it every time, many customers complaint about this over many forums, just take a look). I got ddos too but they were ok to change my IP for free so it was fixed in couple of minutes.
