The MnemoGoGo plugin does this more or less. You tell it to export
cards for a certain number of days, it writes a series of files to a
folder on your mobile phone (mounted over bluetooth or usb, for
instance), these are used and updated by the mobile client, and then,
at any point, the updated statistics can be imported back into
Mnemosyne. The only restriction of this approach is that it's not
possible to safely review cards on both a phone and the desktop at the
same time.

The plugin also has to massage html used in the cards, and to rescale
images. It supports export/import plugins so that it can be extended
for different clients on different types of phones.
