No idea - hence why a lot of people (me included) are unhappy about them being silent.
However, if something is being worked on - for example, if MT was being sold to someone else, or if Attachmate was just closing it - then they (Miguel and co) might not be able to announce anything until it's all final, even if they want to. Legals, NDA's, termination agreements etc are often quite strict, but based on their previous actions, I'm sure that the millisecond the Mono guys CAN say something, they will. Sorry, not a lot any of us can do about it right now, except to wait until monday (US east coast time, I'd assume - Miguel is in Boston) (incase it wasn't obvious, I'm just another MT user - I dont work for Mono/Novell/Attachmate, nor do I have any inside info.
