I don't understand, can't anyone download and use the evaluation version of
MonoTouch? i.e. without a licence?

device a few more days?

If it were me, I'd use the free time to read up more about the technology
and APIs. Or even better find a worthwhile OSS project to contribute to -
it'll make you feel better about the world :)
