Ho hum   Thankfully a Spielberg film is not always an event and his remake of War of the Worlds proves how nonchalant he can be over what could have been a wonderful, brilliant film.   For me Peter Benchely's Jaws is a superior novel to the film, more detail etc. However Spielberg did take all the right elements from the book and made the right kind of film for the moment, it sttill remains a supreme film it's just a shame he remade it with Jurassic Park.
