We can speculate, but it's most likely simply people dropping off who never participated much if at all. The decline has not been that sudden... it's been going on for about a year now. As for 10 or 15 dropping out ion the past week or so... I suppose there may be some who were put off by the recent flurry of off-topic threads, which generate a lot of extra messages going into people's mailboxes that may not be welcome if the receiver is primarily interested in on-topic. There may be a few others who found that their baiting and ranting doesn't get the same kind of reaction here that they get elsewhere and have unsubscribed in a huff. But we never know unless someone sends us a good-bye and thanks for all the fish message when they unsubscribe.
