I love both films, but where PATHS OF GLORY is a "worthy" film with serious
antiwar and anti foreign policy themes, THE KILLING is about a bunch of
low-lifes, redemmed or not.

Subject: [MOPO] Bruce's Kubrick Face-Off
Bruce has that fun aspect of his site with the Face-Off challenges from
his main page
I always make sure to vote
sometimes I vote twice- from home & from office. when I'm far more in
favor of one film particularly. But sometimes I vote against myself to see
how it comes out
yesterday Bruce had Kubrick - the Killing vs Paths of Glory
I'm shocked that Paths of Glory won this battle, especially by a 2.5-1
ratio
I love both films, and Paths is a wonderful film, but I think that the
Killing is a far superior product, even though it is a bit more "raw" than
Paths of Glory
Paths has some very stilted acting during some segments. Adolphe Menjou in
some and Wayne Morris in some others, which I don't think the Killing has
at all.
what say the rest of you?
