scott is correct, it only gets worse and already this morning I saw a second email address used.

facts are that these are done by robots. My contact page on MPB has been "scripted" if you can believe that! what that means is that some company that sends spam actually wrote a script to send messages via the MPB messaging system.

the spam looks like this:
feedback : aagyqnpwjfqptufscje/dpn, <a href="http://ctionline.com/";>Female viagra</a>, feSvJPT, Buy viagra uk, XTLrLfU, http://ctionline.com/ Viagra, wVUIzjq.
submit : Send Message

it's not even useful spam. (if there is such a thing)

if the congress passes bills about spammer, it doesn't matter because these come from out of the country (generally Russia) and just can't be stopped

spammers should die a slow death. I've wasted countless hours during the last 20 years on spam

I would certainly hope everyone is savvy enough to know not to open a strange link in an e-mail that has a message totally unrelated to MoPo: "Single Mom Makes $89,844/Yr in Her Spare Time on The Computer Without Selling Anything."

I receive these all the time, across multiple e-mail accounts, and simply delete them. I also always run good virus and malware protection software (as EVERYONE should).

Not being a computer genius, I don't know how these particular spam messages get sent. I don't know if the user's e-mail has somehow been "stolen" or if it is being spoofed, or if the spam is actually coming from that person's computer.

In the meantime, I can remove the offending e-mail account from MoPo to be on the safe side.

But I fear this is going to become worse as time goes on. EVERYONE needs to be sure to protect themselves on their end--and certainly be diligent in not opening suspicious links.
