I receive these all the time, across multiple
e-mail accounts, and simply delete them. I also
always run good virus and malware protection software (as EVERYONE should).
Not being a computer genius, I don't know how
these particular spam messages get sent. I don't
know if the user's e-mail has somehow been
"stolen" or if it is being spoofed, or if the
spam is actually coming from that person's computer.
In the meantime, I can remove the offending
e-mail account from MoPo to be on the safe side.
But I fear this is going to become worse as time
goes on. EVERYONE needs to be sure to protect
themselves on their end--and certainly be
diligent in not opening suspicious links.
