Scott, I don't wish to belabor the point, but strange messages from bona fide MOPO members did make their way to our collective mail boxes, so the "single Mom" message could've been an off topic item that Eric Herman, whoever he is, thought was particularly funny. Moreover, the same day, 4/23/2013, there was another message from the same Hermen, containing nothing but a link. In the future, I think a warning is in order, so that we don't test the "savvyness" of our members. Still, you are doing a great job, Scott :-)

Not being a computer genius, I don't know how these particular spam messages get sent. I don't know if the user's e-mail has somehow been "stolen" or if it is being spoofed, or if the spam is actually coming from that person's computer. In the meantime, I can remove the offending e-mail account from MoPo to be on the safe side. But I fear this is going to become worse as time goes on. EVERYONE needs to be sure to protect themselves on their end--and certainly be diligent in not opening suspicious links.
