I’ve had a few of both version of the 10.5x13.5 ones over the years and yes the frames are very fragile and hard to find in great condition. I have one that I upgraded to a better condition that I’ll be posting the old one on ebay soon. The 2001 4.25x5.75 postcard Lenticulars are much more affordable but don’t have the same depth of scope that the larger ones do. One day I hope to buy the larger 2001 23x33 Lenticular in decent condition but I haven’t seen one for sale in a decade. Who’s holding out on me? =)
My Microsoft Word and Outlook email don’t have any issues when I type Lenticular so might be something on your end. Bought one from the UK and between the UK and the US someone opened the box and took it. I did not pay much for it as it had a crack in it so not much of value anyhow. Hey, how come the word lenticular comes up in spell checker as not valid? I am quite certain they sold for less than had I participated. In fact, the prices I saw were in what I would consider my acceptable range. Had I bid I know I would have paid more than I really wanted to spend. Though I don't have the posters I still have the cash and perhaps using these results as a guide I'll be able to afford them if they come up for private sale. My modestly priced two cents. Some items fetched high prices, but there were still a number which were unexpectedly low, certainly in the lower ranges. Just wondering if MOPOers have any ideas as to why that should be so. It felt like there were not that many people participating live as in the past. But that’s a guess. It also seemed that people were selective on what got a lot of attention. And their definitely were a few items that did very very well. It will be interesting to see what happens at the upcoming Emovieposter auction before I think if we are seeing a new trend.
