Yes, here have been a number of weather related circumstances that have caused delays recently but things have become gradually worse since Louis DeJoy became postmaster. Inexperienced and incompetent. Talk to the folks behind the desk at your local USPS facility about him.

Good information, I hope that is the case, and not the norm.  It is so erratic, I will have to check locations, but mine have been about 1 in 8 get hung up and the rest get through.  During early Dec. on the same day I ordered an item from CA and one from OK (I am in TX), so I border OK.  Both delayed over 2 1/2 weeks and arrived a day apart.  I expected some delay especially close to Christmas, but this was a little odd.

Unpredictable.  However, no one has mentioned that for about 10-14 scattered days in January, deliveries were "backed up" by mountains of packages from coast to coast - because of a deep freeze and dangerous conditions in the Midwest and South.  I sent a Priority package from San Diego to Dallas last month that took 9 days to arrive.  Missed a friend's birthday.  I always suspected extreme weather was the cause.  -d.

That’s a big yes!

A recent eBay purchase which shipped USPS Ground Advantage on January 17th coming from Mississippi to Ohio really went astray. Tracking completely stopped on January 20th. Then just when I thought the package was lost, tracking magically reappeared on January 31st in Nashville TN, finally making it to my mailbox on February 3rd. 17 days to deliver a package is nuts. I’ve also recently had tracking just stop on mail order prescriptions causing delayed delivery. I thought RX’s got priority handling from USPS.

Pay more—get less. Today’s unreliable package delivery reminds me of the Postal Service’s “cheap” Media Mail back when I was in college. That “service” could take weeks for a book/record/CD to arrive. I don’t think the postal service should be proud of their current delivery stats.

Something is up that’s for sure.

Not to start a post on which carrier is best, but I use them for cost.  I am mainly selling rolled posters for under $10, so I hate to have to charge quite a bit more for the other carriers, etc.

Lately I am having about 1 in 8 or a little less get really delayed, tracking just stops, etc.  This seems to only be tubes, the flats don't seem to have issues.  Just wondering if it is a regional issue?  Thanks, Tony
