When I wiki "essentialism" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Essentialism the
explaination
of it is akin to Plato's forms and holds that these forms are fixed and
absolute.
Ham, Is the Essentialism described in Wikipedia the same, close, or
another school
of thought when compared to your Ontology?

Marsha submitted a relevent quote From, 'A brief summary of the
Metaphysics of Quality'
by Robert Pirsig October 2005 stating that MOQ is a method of
investigation, a tool
for a more accurate perception and thus allows one a greater field of
accuracy in value
assessment. If we are followers of anything we are followers of open
possiblities
with an emphisis on freedom from preconcieved prejudices and an
understanding that these
prejudices play a role in our decision making and the shaping of the
universe we perceive.

Dualism, SOM, I have argued that this is the way we percieve reality
that once we begin to
understand things, by definition, we can only understand it by it's
relational value.
General differential reference is described oppositionally, this
coupled with the
minds tendancy to simplify and exaggerate generally leads the mind to
the broad assumption
of self and other, mind and matter. The question is: is the natural way
we percieve reality
how in fact reality behaves? are we projecting our perception onto the
fabric of natural
phenomena? turns out we do, with the evidence being in everything from
our logic to mathmatics.
only in the past century has science realized that reality is composed
of varying forms of
interrelated energy such as kinetic, potential, thermal, electrical,
chemical, nuclear, and mass energy.
Energy may be converted from one form to another, but it is never
created or destroyed.
This principle, the conservation of energy, was first postulated in the
early 19th century, and applies to any isolated system. According to
Noether's theorem, the conservation of energy is a consequence of the
fact that the laws of physics do not change over time. This might be the
only absolute the fact that energy
is not created or destroyed but that it's presence is a constant and
infinite. Dualism dissolves in
the light of this theory for all(including space and consciousness) is
energy.
To me, to speculate any further would be an exercise in self projection
and in all probability
inaccurate.
