[Ham] We should not have to engage in semantic debates to glean the meaning of a philosopher's thesis. Nor should we assume that the causal reader of a fictionalized book will come away with a new understanding of experiential reality.
But perhaps I have "tarried in dualism" too long to appreciate the musings of a poet. Thanks for your kind efforts to reconcile my differences. [Ron] Ham, there is a lot I dig about the points you raise, I think a thorough re-reading of ZMM, Lila and Essentialism are in order for me at this point. Dualism is the focus, it is almost inescapable....the only problem I have wrapping my head around is the source negated by nothingness. I dunno, there is something about it that doesent sit right, and please do not take that in the wrong way, I only offer my opinion like my opinions on MOQ, once you reach the source of all, you fall back to true/false to project the source of source itself....which is again a dichotomy ,it just doesent follow suite with the rest of your thesis. but that's just one opinion. I do like MOQ methodology from a mechanical perspective and it's pragmatism. Philosophically you have a pointed out a few holes in it that are worthy of note. In any regard, you have furthered my philosophical understanding considerably and I have greatly enjoyed these discussions. I had hoped for a harmonious resolve resulting in an expansion in both camps....who knows. No one can say I did'nt try. For all of the MD discuss dynamism, it is of my opinion MOQ has been layed out and has statically latched within itself. It is not looking to expand/evolve insomuch as gaining acceptance. much to the contrary of it's pragmatic roots.
