For what its worth, I had a supervisor once (years ago) who said my name differently and always incorrectly every time she addressed me. Sometimes I was "Arnold", sometimes "Ardo", sometimes "Aldo" (like Nova, the Great Rocker). Once I was "Alpo", which given the position (very Dilbert-esque) seemed to jive, I certainly felt like canned dogfood.
