[Platt]
Precisely the problem. Under affirmative action programs blacks can't
tell whether it was their competence or their color that got them accepted.

[Arlo]
Evidence? Praytel, how would the white family that ended up with that
house know that it was their competence and not the color of their
skin that got them the house? How do you know a more qualified
"black" was never denied a position given to you, simply because you
have white skin?

[Arlo previously]
The "stepping to the head of the line" is far outnumbered by
incidents like I related, being denied opportunity because of the
color of their skin.

[Platt]
Evidence?

[Arlo]
Personal experience. Social reviews and studies I've read over many
years. What evidence do you present to the contrary?

[Arlo responded to Platt's use of one Psychology Today story to
"prove" his point about Xenophobia being genetic]
This report hardly represents a consensus.

[Platt]
Evidence? None.

[Arlo]
I'm not your personal research assistant. Anyone with half a brain
can go to the library and search social- and psychology research
publications for keywords such as "xenophobia" and "racism". But you
want a paper to start with?

And heres a book you can read:

[Platt]
Evidence? None. Babies can't verbalize at the beginning, either, but
are hard-wired to speak.

[Arlo]
Gee, I could do research for you again, or I can simply point out
that adopted babies of a different "race" do not fear or hate their
caregivers or family. They are not scared of the woman breast feeding
them because they are of a "different race". Nor do they cry when
held by the evil "not-like-me" parent. Its only later in life, after
socialized into racial hierachical thinking, do children learn to
fear those of a different skin color or custom-background.

[Platt]
At last, have you no shame? Now you attack Ham for his beliefs, too.
You are becoming the Joe McCarthy of moq_discuss.

[Arlo]
I'm not attacking Ham in any way I have vocalized many times. But
gotta love the Giant Pee Wee here. You, who fear all things commie
and leftist, who engage in the vilest of political rhetoric,
deception, distortion and fear-mongering calling _me_ Joe McCarthy.
Of all the outrageous ironies you've tried in the past, this is one
for the books.

[Platt]
Thanks. Your sarcasm and outrage prove my point.

[Arlo]
Yes, they prove the continual insipid nature of your posts.
