No Platt, I was asking about specific actions (practical here-and-now and future potentially) ... I was very explicit each time.
So, just in case you might do harm, you would do nothing ? OK so far so good. Try these scenarios. (a) You recognise me as some b**tard you'd rather see dead anyway, for some real good quality reason, and walk on with a clear conscience. (b) You sniff the air and don't smell alcohol and wonder what condition I'm suffering from (that being the limit of your common sense medical expertise) - Do you (1) do nothing but walk on with a clear conscience or (2) dial 911 / 999 for expert help ? (c) Whether or not you smell alcohol, you notice I'm choking and/or unconscious .... no medical training required. Do you (1) do nothing (2) dial 911 only, or (3) dial 911 and roll me into the recovery position (a little common sense general knowledge required) ? (d) You smell alcohol strongly. Do you (1) (2) or (3) per (c) ? or do you (4) modify your response acoording to your suspicions of why I'm intoxicated ? ... (habitual local drunkard, reckless one-off party-goer, young innocent spiked by irresponsible colleague, etc ...) Do the circumstances matter. Do you have any responsibility to understand those circumstances ? (BTW I've been lying here for several hours now, and all you've offered is smartass sidesteps or lectures on the MoQ ... I may be dead already ... whole fresh set of public health scenarios to deal with ...) (Oh, and if you did choose to roll me into the recovery position, in c or d, am I unconscious; Am I going to be hit by a truck if I lie where I am, am I going to frozen stiff of exposure by morning .... what else might you do ....) Several very small questions with simple possible answers for you to choose (or choose one of your own) Platt. Invent your own answer, but humour me, I'm lying choking at your feet. (If it helps, forget me, pretend it's your daughter.)
