Hi Ron,
>Ron: >> Quality, for me, is a mental state. An orientation. An alignment. >> Once so aligned, intellectual patterns take on new meaning. >> Yes an intellectual pattern is an intellectual pattern >> But state of mind is key. >> > > >Steve: >If I understand Ron and Bo, you guys are saying that the MOQ is not a >mere intellectual pattern, it is a context for thought--a space in >which to think. In that sense, the MOQ is a reality or a state of mind. > >Ron: >Context is still intellectual pattern yes, orientation is not. Will and >intent are involved. MoQ is an intellectual pattern, what it points to >Is an attitude. Is attitude intellectual pattern or is it the way in >Which patterns are interpreted? > >Steve: >But if even if it is a space, it is still an intellectual space and >thus a collection of static intellectual patterns of value. > >Ron: >What you are saying is that pre-intellectual awareness is still >static intellectual patterns of value. Steve: I never said that and I disagree, though the concept of pre-intellectual awareness is intellectual. Compare the inorganic pattern that we call gravity with the intellectual pattern that is the scientific theory of gravitation. Ron: >Thus making pre-intellect, >dynamic quality and quality itself merely static intellectual patterns >nothing more. rendering all of these terms null and void within it's own >system. Steve: As concepts, they are static intellectual patterns of value but they are intended to point beyond intellect. The MOQ is not reality itself, it is words about reality.
