[Arlo had said] Another fine example of the moronic rhetoric this thread began by condemning.
[Platt] Same to you, pal. [Arlo] Except I am not the one engaging in distortive rhetoric. But anyone who can read can see that. Your "Pee Wee Maneuver" here is without merit. [Arlo had said] Your rhetorical association between "nationalistic blindness" and "national defense", as if the two are merely two viewpoints on one approach, is not only outrageous, but when said in response to everything I had written shows only the blatant distortion wielded by those who attempt to use social-level talk-radio rhetoric to attack and break down any reasonable dialogue. [Platt] A moronic assertion. [Arlo] Any one who can read, and who has seen your last few responses, can see that this is a valid assertion. Any one just joining can easily check the past few posts. [Platt] If you have no national pride, why defend yourself? [Arlo] And as if on cue you toss out yet another moronic response. Can you point out where I said ANYTHING about having "national pride", let alone implying it is a "bad thing"? This is the type of idiotic, distortive, moronic rhetoric that is morally called for what it is. [Arlo had said] We can take great pride in our defeat of Hitler, but until we recognize and admit that Henry Ford is emblematic of the historical foundation that created Hitler's power in the first place our victory is only partial. [Platt] What nonsense. Now Hitler's rise was our fault. And I suppose we deserved to get hit by Islamic radicals. Speaking of morons . . . [Arlo] And a final example of the extreme moronic crap that comes from talk-radio discourse. Yes, I am speaking of morons, Platt, and your rhetoric evidences what you are. Not only did I never say Hitler's rise was "our fault", but your baseless and evil claim that "Arlo thinks we deserve to get hit by Islamic radicals" demonstrates the EXACT kind of stupid discourse that we must rebel against. And if you think that Henry Fords receiving of the top Nazi honor for his support of Hitler had NOTHING to do with Hitler's rise to power, and was not emblamatic of the stage that many nations and individuals outside Germany helped create, then you are worse than a blind fool. You could start by reading William Shirer's award winning The Rise and Falll of the Third Reich to gain a better understanding of the international decisions and attitudes that led to the Reich, the foundations and backdrop that was cast that not only enabled a Hitler to rise to power, but like Henry Ford, but promoted it. But, hey, why let a little thing like history get in the way...
