SA: Sounds like that man found a niche. He must be
having loads of fun. Going out in the cold, leaving,
warming-up, and wanting to go back again. I love
these kinds of activities, even the thought of this is
inspirational. I don't know why. I really get this
wonderful feeling hearing about this cold, icy lake
and this man with a red boat doing something. To me,
according to my experience in the snowy woods, these
activities have always been such a joy for me. I love
it! I guess one could contrast this with my job,
which by the way, today is my last day working at this
terrible place. I got a new job, for lower pay, but
it worth it. I was finding myself staring at my son,
thinking about my dad dying at such a young age due to
stress, and I couldn't take it anymore. I've been
doing a lot of leg work, found another job, put my two
weeks notice in, and I'm finished. Last night was
terrible. The place is falling apart. About 8
different staff have gotten assaulted via punching in
the face, bloody noses, spitting up blood, kicking in
the legs, and swelling, etc... About 5 different
residents have been doing this assaults. This is over
a span of about 4 weeks. Before this, for over 20
years, this place has had some hair pulling, and the
occasional pushing, maybe a punch or two, but it has
become ridiculous. About 10 different residents have
tried running from the place in the last 6 weeks.
This is the end product, with more to come probably,
of everything that I've been sharing over the last
year on this forum. The change in administration, the
turn-over of staff with no staff being replaced, with
about 49 staff working at the place and last week ca.
30-35 overtime shifts given out, the place is about to
blow. I've been saying to other staff, and I hear
other staff saying they been thinking the same thing,
that we're going to hear this place on the news. I
wouldn't doubt by this summer if something very
drastic doesn't change. This one female resident
literally tried to kill a staff, banging the staff's
head off the floor, punching her in the face, and
pulling on her hair while she punched. She then
grabbed the staff's throat and tried to choke her.
One other staff and a resident - yes - a resident had
to pull this other resident off of the staff. The
cops have been out every night for over a week. Their
sending their chief out to the place, due to them
wondering what the heck is going on. Their wondering
how long the place is going to be open. Last night
the police were questioning the policies of the place.
They couldn't believe some of the events that have
been taking place according to policy. The state has
been calling, along with probation offices, wondering
what the heck is going on due to so many incidents
being reported. Some staff have started to file
charges against residents, but this placement facility
doesn't want that to happen due to their reputation.
Yet, their making such dumb decisions we're starting
to wonder if somebody can be that dumb or maybe their
trying to run the place into the ground. We had a
resident who ran away two weeks ago, that was picked
up by a male, either sexually assaulted or willingly
sexually participated with this stranger, then went
back to her mother's house and was thus returned.
Upon arrival she walked in the door and a resident
walked up to her and punched her in the face and
knocked her out. Other residents have been punching
residents as well.

Thank Goodness! My last day at this place working.

snowy, snowy, snowy, woods,
