Hi Ian We all recognise the > extreme - authoritarian vs free-reasoning ends of the spectrum - but > in the vast middle ground of real life what passes for intellectual > reasoning is socially conditioned / co-evolved / entangled.
Seems very important to me that we see this spectrum and how we move along it. I'd add social/conditioned/uncritical/ unified/unquestioning/mythic/unchanging through to diverse/changing/ individualistic/more free/intellectual/reasoning and you can add alot more. I think one of the things the MOQ helps us with is seeing that whilst the 4th level brings new freedoms and possibilities it brings new challenges too and cannot evolve by destroying the 3rd level. The social and biological levels need to be kept in a healthy state that works and not simply abandoned and left to rot as some of the extreme cheer leaders of modernity seem to think is inevitable. More evolution less revolution perhaps, but much more evolution than we seem to have currently, currently it looks a bit like de-evolving. regards David M Moq_Discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
