SA: Thank you Ron. This is a tough forum to feel
valued within, especially when I try to apply input at
times and nobody talks back. Yet, we've all probably
experienced that one time or another. There is the
dynamic undefined aspect where all I's, us's, 'felt
values', and appreciations disappear. It levels the
playing field for all.
Ron:
Sometimes, when direct questions aren't asked, or not
perceived to be asked, the words stand. I leave words
stand when I'm thinking or I feel they are powerful
enough as they are and do not need anything else said.
SA: Sorry to hear your not feeling well. What is the
"not feeling well"? I had the flu, with a very
terrible congestion in my cheeks and forehead this
past week and weekend. The congestion was to the
point that my ears were hurting me the most. I
couldn't wait until the pain in my ears disappeared.
I still have remnants of the sickness lingering.
Ron:
Stomach flu, strep throat almost 2 weeks now.
SA:
We could stick to some points that I was looking
forward to hearing a response from you. It does seem
you are making a 'all is intellect' approach. I
remember when you posted here that you told your child
that this is 'all in the mind' (to paraphrase). Did I
remember this correctly?
How do you view the early solar system when
humankind wasn't around?
Ron:
You get me wrong, I've been saying our perception
is limited and distorted. I say how we understand objects
is 90% of how objects are viewed. When many understand them
in a like manner they take on a reality of their own.
Just as how my words have been interpreted here is how
Reality gets filtered and exaggerated. Information is
Skimmed, summed and condensed. I'm not saying "I think therefore I am"
I'm saying "I am part of a complex society therefore I think " therefore
I think "I think therefore I am"
SA:
I guess ones view is more
important to hear about than to always try to convince
them or baptize them to what others believe to be
true. It would be nice to hear how you view this.
Ron:
I try to give my children the tools to think for them selves.
When I did say to my daughter that all the things we take for
Granted are mostly inventions, she said it was crazy. I chuckeled
And replied: perhaps it is.
SA:
I really don't know how to debate
against somebody that believes the world is all their
in mind..
Ron:
Not all in the mind, what we perceive is interpreted
By the mind.
SA:
I don't think somebody could debate against
what I might believe either on points, such as the
bridge story I wrote - I mean how does one debate
that. I guess one could try, and I might respond, but
that could lead to a bogging down of events were
creativity is sacrificed.
Ron:
Value is a bridge
