> Ron: > Why not worse-ness, some things are worse than others. > > Is this the same thing? I think he is saying that every > Thing that exists demonstrates value processes. Platt: Where does he say that? Ron: Why do you suppose he states that the intellectual level is the most moral Static pattern then says to serve morality you must kill all intellectual Patterns, per your view, isn't this contradictive? Ron prev: > You get so caught up relishing the concept of ultimate good and absolute > Better-ness that you fail to notice these things, don't be so quick to > Be in possession of the ultimate source of judging everything > absolutely. > You are fooling yourself if you think that's what MoQ advocates. Platt: You are judging me absolutely. So what's your problem? Ron: Sorry Platt, I do not mean to appear as if I am making a judgment on you, I mean to point out inconsistencies in interpretation. Pirsig says Intellectual patterns dominating social patterns is moral yet makes a An appeal to return to old social norms. That was the problem with the hippie movement it did not balance intellectual patterns with social Patterns. I see your positions contradicting themselves, if there is contradiction then the interpretation must be reviewed. If you still hold to the same position after these inconsistencies It is a matter of your opinion but it carries with it the stigma Of intellectual dishonesty. But that is simply my own opinion. ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/ Moq_Discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/ Moq_Discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
