SA: Bo is relying upon a dictionary to support his
SOL. Yet, Bo is picking and choosing what in a
dictionary definition is valid, such as his removal of
"power of mind". Marsha, you've given him a
dictionary definition of intellect, too, to point out
his fallacies. What he'll do next is say who ever
wrote that dictionary definition did it with SOM, and
didn't use the SOL or something to fit his needs, so
he'll start picking and choosing dictionaries that fit
his pigeon-holing. To begin to rely upon a dictionary
definition to bring validity to ones philosophy is
desperate. Then to pick and choose the words in the
dictionary definition is more desperate. Continuing
in the chain of Bo's desperation to validate, he'll
begin picking and choosing dictionaries according to
some kind of desperate argument. And then he'll argue
for his arguement with some kind of ego-inflationary,
"he knows best", type of approach, etc..., etc...
"ON THE HIGH SEAT OF "THE TREASURE OF THE LAW" The
Platform Sutra of the 6 th Patriarch, Hui Neng"
Bhikkhu Fa Hai, a native of Chu Kiang of Shao Chow, in
his first interview with the Patriarch asked the
meaning of the well-known saying, 'What mind is,
Buddha is.' The Patriarch replied, "To let not a
passing thought rise up is 'mind'. To let not the
coming thought be annihilated is Buddha. To manifest
all kinds of phenomena is 'mind'... Prajna is 'What
mind is', Samadhi is 'What Buddha is'. In practicing
Prajna and Samadhi, let each keep pace with the
other... This teaching can be understood Only through
the habit of practice.
SA continues: So, let mind without thoughts be
experienced and mind with thoughts be experienced.
This is Prajna and Samadhi practicing together as in:
"What mind is, Buddha is."
Thanks Marsha.
