Ron; Native ways, when I first read the part about the "good dog" I found it interesting that Pirsig and co. would find it odd That the tribesman responded the way he did to the question Of what kind of dog it was. Living in the present, one would Want to know about the immediate situation, will that dog attack? Is it friendly to humans? But the visitors were more interested in its Breeding which had no bearing on the present situation.
