Marsha:
I made a painting of Pheadrus and Chris on the motorcycle from the
photo on Ant's website. There is a part of me that wants to send it
to Ant, but I think I will give it to my grandson. I would love to
believe that the painting would inspire him to read ZMM someday. I
couldn't get either of my children to read it. I couldn't get anyone
in my family to read it. (They all think I've come from a strange
planet.) There's no guarantees of course, but he represents the
future, and maybe... It's a painting of innocence.

But I someday may pack it up and send it to Merry England. I very
much admire Ant.

ZMM was not my first inkling of this understanding. I think I was
born with a kind of unknowing. Reading Krishnamurti was the first
exposure to verbalizing it. But such reading just left me free
floating. ZMM became a beginning structure to explore it. It was
such a relief! It is such a beautiful book.

So be it. SA is schizo and mumbo-jumbola! It's so wonderful to
play. Since it's all in some sense a game, I play all the
time. Good play I hope.

I am looking for a source of images of India, both modern and
ancient, to use in my next painting. Maybe someday a visit. Ma, Ma,
Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma, Ma...

Today I will write to my Senators and Representatives to support
Tibet's freedom. It is embarrassing, though, considering what we are
doing in Iraq. I've been thinking about the Dalai Lama. I saw his
acceptance of the Congressional Medal of Honor. He was so very clear
and innocent. But I imagine behind closed doors when considering
Tibet, he is totally aware, focused, and at the intersection of Code
of Art politics and diplomacy and at the cutting edge of intellectual
creativity. I wish he and the Tibetans the very best.
