SA: How will ROL be recieved by the U.S. gov't? When
ROL began this reassertion ca. 30 years ago, Wounded
Knee Two happened. How would the U.S. react to those
within its' own border, not the ROL border, but say
here in Pennsylvania? With more people finding
agreement with ROL, not just in the U.S., but in other
countries, and other gov'ts considering ROL and taking
steps to formalize relations, how will the U.S. gov't
react? That's what I'm talking about.
So far, ROL has gone to local gov't offices
within ROL and asked for them to pay leins for their
use of ROL lands. These U.S. gov't offices have
turned them away, but how will the U.S. gov't handle,
as Arlo points out, 'freedom'? The U.S. is supposed
to be the 'light on a hill', the beacon of freedom,
and now ROL has reasserted through legal means its'
call for freedom due to the U.S. not meeting any of
the Treaties it has made with ROL. We know the U.S.
has a tendenacy to support freedom when the freedom is
of the U.S. needs, but ROL is not of the U.S. gov't
needs, is it? Hmmm, how will the U.S. react to
freedom in its' own backyard. The U.S. has an opinion
on freedom everywhere around the world, but now its'
right here on this continent. We know why the Bush
will not show official support for Tibet - we need
China, China has the U.S. bending at its' knees
economically, which for the U.S. this kind of knee
bending in servitude to China is the U.S. mainstream
cultures Achilles heel, its' greatest fear (China not
shopping in the U.S., etc...) Without strong economic
ties, the U.S. mainstream culture doesn't know how to
act. The U.S., at this point, can't harm any
relations with China. It's like this guy that comes
to work where I work. Yet, he comes and goes as he
pleases. They asked him to stay an extra one or two
hours, but he said he won't. The lady that kept
asking him to stay said he owed her. He turned it
around, knowing this place of business needs more,
many more people to work for the place, but they can't
get anybody to work for them - so he turned it around
and said, "No, I own this place. I'll leave, and come
back when I want to." They'll accept him, for he's a
good worker, and is proper in behavior, so, they have
no grounds to dismiss him. He's only obligated to
work certain hours and he does. So, when they ask him
to work more than he is obligated to work in agreement
to his signing up to work at the place, he doesn't
have to, and for her to say, "He owes her." No, it's
truly the other way around. The place needs him.
