SA: Yes, I need to aim better, I'd admit. It's not
the cost of traveling. This is cheap. The cost of
food, and that's pretty much it, I have all the
camping equipment, past that costly stage. It's the
getting away from work that I'm referring to. My wife
will have much time off this summer due to a teacher's
strike that will take her teaching into late June, so,
she will not be able to teach summer school this year
a first since she has started teaching. I can't leave
my job for too long. I haven't built up any vacation
days, and if I miss out on a weeks worth of pay, then
credit card will be dipped into to pay basic bills.
Also, I can't leave my job too long (meaning more than
a couple days) without pay for I'll lose my job. I
can't leave it and expect them to hold it for me.
That's what I'm referring to. The in the house,
waiting for my son to get to as old as he is now was a
side note that held me back from going out in the
afternoons too much and on the weekends for too long,
but yes, that has passed for the most part.
I have ideas on how to gain more independence
for the lifestyle I yearn, and this is where my aim
needs to be better. This day trip tomorrow will help
stir the creative juices.
at the moment I'm listening to this as my son quietly
falls asleep,
