"Thinking" in the intelligence sense has been with the Q-evolution
since the biological neural network facilitated storing of
experience, its retrieval and manipulation along logical "gates".
The Greeks began using intelligence along the S/O pattern
because "philosophy" necessarily is a search for objective truth,
thus if the Orientals had their philosophical era (the Upanishads
not Vedic) before the Greeks they also had their intellectual era.
However they didn't settle there (like the Occidentals) but passed
on to a Quality-like stage.

Ron;
The search for objective truth starts with the formation of
Logical rules. Certainty in meaning must be established.
SOM begins with the establishment of grammatical logic
Which Breaks experience into subjects and objects creating
A propositional statement. Its all to build the foundation
for a rational argument In which to establish "truth" in
a standardized paradigm.

I venture to think that because the Greeks had democratic
Republics, logical arguments were central to government
And decision making. It became the dominant form of
Argument because nothing could stand before its logic.
The sophists were at a loss to establish the kind of certainty
That analytical dialectic could produce.

But in the East the Indic society was
ruled by kings and the decisions were made by the Monarchy.
(correct me if I am wrong anyone). Therefore analytic logic
Did not take off like the Greek version did. This coupled
With the establishment of the university which allowed lay
persons to acquire this sort of method where Indic versions
Were probably held to the royal court. And passed with
The fall of empires.

Modern western Philosophy is built on propositional
Logical statements from our court system and government,
to scientific method, all based on that first descriptive
rule that nouns are either subject or object in meaning
establishing possession of the statement. Subjective
statements being the more difficult to establish logical
possession and must be objectified to do so. Therefore
all logical statements are objective statements that
can be falsifiable. This is our method of truth finding.
Leading to the assumption that all truth is objective.
