squonk:

I think Zennies understand this, and develop ways to put the patterns of
the mythos to sleep so the pure aesthetic state once more has
unpatterned access to DQ.

What do you think?

Ron:
from my own experience with the practice, static patterns are repeated
until they are rendered meaningless, one begins to realize that perfect
form is process. I think what this does is challenge the brains ability
of picking patterns out of dynamic experience by shifting the rate at
which that change occurs, if there is lo change, the brain looks for
change, and recalibrates, if the rate of change is high it simplifies
and recalibrates, tying in with relativity theory of the perception of
time
and space.
What TE1 brought to my mind was this sci-fi movie made in the 70's
called altered states in which William Hurt played a dashing young
scientist who experiments with hallucinogenic mushrooms and isolation
tanks. At the end his body de-evolved into prehistoric man and finally
into a nebulous cloud of swirling energy.

what do I think? I think we are DQ, we always have access for we are it.
the aesthetic state for me is when patterns work in harmony and
create themselves through my experience. But does the mind have a
natural state of being? greater thinkers than I have pondered
this for centuries with no conclusion able to be found.
I enjoy creating and to create you need material to create
with. Never was much of a heaven guy, heaven is right here
for me. bliss is flowing with the creative. It's not without
it's lumps, but for the same reason I dig the band Soundgarden,
dischord brings sweetness to the harmony.
