another analogy is language. evry word depends upon every other word for its 
meaning. think about it. break down or define every word you use and pretty 
soon you are covering thousands of words. every word is dependent on the others 
for its meaning. 

likewise a separate autonomous self is an impossible fiction; every 'self' 
depends on others for its feeling of selfhood. you don't exist outside of the 
culture you are in - you can't!!! when it comes to thought it is impossible to 
think without a culture of course. language again. the analogy becomes exact.

the closer you get to the *heart of the self* the closer you get to the one 
consciousness that is the basis of all sentience and awareness. rendering the 
idea of autonomy meaningless (how can you be autonomous if you are all? how can 
u not be?)
