Hi Platt,

> [Platt]

Are you suggesting that multiculturalism has no base in intellect and
thus
cannot be challenged intellectually? No, that can't be because Pirsig
makes
an excellent intellectual argument agains the multicultural concept
(intellectual pattern) that all cultures are morally equal.

[Ron]
lets get this straight first and foremost. Multiculturalism
is only vaguely related to cultural relativism, to make them
synonymous would be making a serious error not to mention
redefining both of their meanings to support an argument.

The term multiculturalism generally refers to a state of racial,
cultural and ethnic diversity within the demographics of a specified
place, usually at the scale of an organization such as a school,
business, neighbourhood, city or nation. Some countries have official,
or de jure policies of multiculturalism aimed at recognizing,
celebrating and maintaining the different cultures or cultural
identities within that society to promote social cohesion.

Cultural relativism is the principle that an individual human's beliefs
and activities should be understood in terms of his or her own culture.

You are not even defining your argument with the proper terminology. If
you would like to make intellectual arguments please use the appropriate
terminology.
I would rather not make the assumption that you are advocating
these views and I will refrain from doing so but what you are arguing
for
is sounding more and more to be the case. If you are not, then we
understand
each other as per the intellectual agreement of Dynamic comparison
of intellectual freedoms within cultures and we can leave it at that.
but Platt if you pursue superiority based on particular social values it
will be check and mate on the intellectual level. You have no
intellectual
argument to support it.

thanks Platt
