The feeling of admiration is mutual and I often think you and I do no so
much disagree as that we see things very very differently.

>From my formal education these words stick out: ³And God saw all that he
had made and found it very ³good². Genesis 1: 31 translation by MGR Ronald
Knox.

>From reading Lila for me these words stick out: ³Good² is a noun. That was
it. That was what Phaedrus had been looking for. That was the homer over
the fence, that ended the ball game. ³Good² as a noun rather than an
adjective is all the Metaphysics of Quality is about.² p. 468 LILA
paperback edition.

See what I mean? The passage from the Bible that jumps out at me is: "Vanity
of vanity, all is vanity saith the Preacher" This is the essence of nihilism
softened only by a later passage that reads: "It is better to be a live dog
than a dead lion." I would claim that therein lies the law and the
prophets... All else is commentary.

³Negative emotions make nonsense of Truth by their wrong arrangement of
itŠ.All negative emotions are false and the trouble is that they have great
power over other people who are not negative at the moment.² ³Good!²

[Joe]
"good"
After your response to my attempt to show origins about seeing ³good² as
though it was revealed truth, and common sense I said to hell with it why
try? I don¹t know why I seek your approval for the way I see things, but
what the hell it can¹t hurt since your commentary was not about "good"

[Joe]
Little do I know!
