Krimel/Gav
We might even suggest that we do not usually simply 'be',
usually we are busy 'doing'. Somehow we are always
changing the situation, we are open to what is not, and
we negate the situation to bring about a new one. If
we really stop 'doing' anything we start to get some
really strange experiences and somehow become un-situated.
You ask DMB and his freaky friends.

krimel:
Awareness on the other hand requires being. It presupposes
being. A being must exist prior to its becoming aware of other things
that exist.
gav: awareness does not presuppose *a being*. it does presuppose *being*.
do you notice the difference?
one is a verb - being (dynamic); one is a noun (a being - static).
[Krimel]
I am personally agnostic on which is the "better" term. I believe a real
existentialist; the kind that really pops the veins in Ham's forehead;
would
say that awareness presupposes existence. Or they might invert it and say,
existence precedes essence.
