[Platt]
The MOQ opens up new vistas of understanding, far exceeding the materialist's
"spontaneous emergence from increasing complexity" that says nothing about
Quality.

[Arlo]
Given that you've shown yourself to have no ability to articulate any
alternative to this "materialist" view, maybe you'd like to reach down, find a
pair, and go ahead and try now?

What part of "spontaneous emergence from increasing complexity" do you disagree
with? Spontaneous? Is it that it suggests a lack of "intent"? Where do you
think "intent" resides? Did that atoms "intend" to make cells? Did they
"intend" to make philosophy? Does "intent" lie external, in the Mind of
Qualigod?

Your theistic revision of the MOQ simply transforms Quality into Qualigod, then
attributes the careful design, planning and implementation of His Great Scheme
to this Great God. You can deride the "materialists" til your blue in the face,
your lack of offering anything in return (even a well-crafted theology) is
simply appalling.

But here, I'll make it even easier for you. Let's start with the moment in time
when the first, primitive, biological patterns appeared. An amoeba? A virus?
Mold spores? Whatever you want it to be for now. I'll go with spores, but you
can substitute whatever. Let's step into The Wayback Machine and travel to this
exciting time...

So, when the first spores appeared, how does "spontaneous emergence from
increased complexity" not explain that? Give me an alternative explanation? Did
the carbon atoms "intend" to make the spores? Did Qualigod "make" the carbon
atoms make the spores as part of a Grand Scheme?

What characterists of "Quality" do you feel are lacking in "spontaneous
emergence from increased complexity"? Any other than "intent"? Could those
spores have appeared without the "increased complexity" of the inorganic level?
Could those spores have, theoretically, appeared 100 billion years earlier? Why
not?

What do you think the chances are that you can answer these questions honestly
and without evasion?
