Gee, and I thought this was a forum to explore and discuss the MOQ in
all its
many aspects.

[Arlo]

Ron mentioned "caring", and I think that misses the mark. I, too, care
greatly
about the issues discussed her. And I care deeply about the experiences
I have
when riding the woods of PA. Indeed, I'd argue that the investiture we
have in
negotiating an identity here reflects the care we bring to the table.

Ron:
AH here we are, the "investiture we have in negotiating an identity here
reflects the care we bring to the table." this is what I'm on about
not about avatars generally, or pseudonyms, like I stated I'm o.k. with
it, I'm hip, but it's this investiture I'm concerned with mostly. The
accountability issue, when we engage with another here we build
relationships, when someone flips to a fictional character from a
ficticious place in the middle of a conversation as a device, it
comes off a bit disingenuous, It violates the investiture and brings
the amount of care into question. When it is used like mr. Hat as
a device to act out without accountability I begin to question
the intent.
like in the life of Brian when the peoples front of Judea wanted to
fight for the right of men to have babies, "but men can't HAVE
babies" " it symbolizes our struggle against oppression,"
reg says: more like symbolizing your struggle against reality"

likewise avatars without investiture of care can either be seen
as symbols of the struggle against identity or as symbols of the
users struggle with integrity.
