Steve, DMB, Coincidentally I am re-reading Rorty's Pilosophy and Social Hope at the moment, (armed with much greater background knowledge on the subjects than when I first attempted it 6 or 7 years ago), and also finding much acknowleged building on Dewey and James. I see "avoiding prejudicial frameworks" as Rorty's avoidance of metaphysics. You're gonna have to educate us DMB on which aspects of these neo-pragmatists are "radical" and whch are not.
BTW (Bo if you're reading) the fact that the MoQ includes the basis of its own evolution is the reason I see it as a valuable, but not prejudicial, framework. I'll look out for the Hildebrand book.Regards Ian On Sun, Jan 11, 2009 at 11:35 PM, Steve Peterson <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi DMB, > > Is this the book? > http://www.amazon.com/Beyond-Realism-Antirealism-Neopragmatists-Vanderbilt/dp/082651426X > > I've been looking for something to read about pragmatism.
