What bugs me is the "when" - implying some sort of timeline outside of time measuring back to the time when time started.
I mean, if we postulate a particle zipping along near the speed of light, to it the universe is only a couple of minutes old. Thus to make absolute pronouncements about the "real and true" age of the universe are at least as anthropocentric as any belief about gods or turtles or whatever myths man conjures up, huddling in his cave. "A Brief History of Time" ??? Bah humbug.
