Here is where a philosopher would take the time and employ Socratic
method to illumenate the idea that there is bad and good in
everything in an effort to come to a better understanding of the
situation that needs to be addressed.

Its all sloganeering. Ideological fear-mongering on both sides. And
the party lapdogs keep barking the same talking points over and over,
while condemning those "evil lapdogs" on the other side of the fence.
And you try to point this out, but all you do is get accused of being
an "evil lapdog" by the lapdogs on whatever "other" side of the fence
you happen to be up against.

... and clowns like us will always be the enemy of these points of view.

Yeah, there is no room for anything but ideological squalking. Pick
and ideology and squalk, or shut the fuck up. That's where we are in
all this. What saddens me is that this has become the substantial
norm for all dialogue in this country, for all "issues".
